I am very pleased that my two boxes of hearing aid batteries and a year’s worth of wax guards arrived as advertised, in the time estimated, and in a single, small cardboard box without plastic or even paper filler. Less is often more in packaging!

These have worked well for me but the new packaging SUCKS. I’m used to carrying a pack with me so I can change batteries as needed. Typically takes seconds and the packaging is clearly designed with this in mind. The box I just received has the new packaging shown in the pictures. Instead of accessing the batteries through a flap on the back, you now have to cut the packaging apart with scissors to get at the batteries. Needing an extra tool for this task is the opposite of convenient. Furthermore, each battery is entombed separately so you need to cut the whole plastic ring completely to get at them all and the packaging itself no longer serves as a way to store them. I now have to come up with a separate way to carry batteries. In my 30+ years of wearing aids the packaging they came in was always sufficient.

Thank you for the review. In 2022, Reese’s law was established to protect children and other consumers from the dangers of accidental ingestion of button cell or coin batteries. I’m sorry for your struggles with the new battery packages. They do make battery caddies to hold a couple of batteries if that would help. We urge you to keep them out of the reach of children and animals if you do use one.
